Our First Week of Kind Academy

Hello, my Kind Friend!

This past week, Kind Academy came back in full swing!

It was an "All About me!" theme week from our Project Based Learning (PBL) curriculum. The launch of Kind Academy Virtual Pods and also of our first Kind Science Co-Op for Tweens (7 and up) students meet-up.

We started our Kind virtual pods, our in-person meet-ups and it has been a delightful and smooth transition for us from the wildness of our summer schedule. Getting back into our learning (homeschool) routine is not that easy, but we are getting in there slowly and securely. One step at the time, so this past week we have been working on our placement test, getting to know our Kind virtual teachers and classmates, working independently during our Study Hall virtual session, and enjoying the hot Florida weather at our first Co-Op where Mrs. Bess explained to us all about Fossils and Castings. The collaboration of the group and the integration of our children (and us, moms too) were very rewarding. Seeing flawless happiness and socializing with each other was priceless. We are very excited and looking forward to our next meeting.

Now, you might be wondering what is coming up this week?! Well, it will be very busy for sure! Tomorrow Monday, September 6th is Labor Day and the first night of Rosh Hashanah (Happy New Year for our Jewish families). We will continue with our Kind virtual pod classes and we will be learning about Birds with our PBL Kind curriculum.
